Man Kicks Door When Staff Denies Bathroom Use: Glenview Police Blotter

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. IDENTITY THEFT

Carvell Nelson, 25, of the 3800 block of 216th Place, Matteson, is accused of identity theft, and was arrested at 4:15 p.m. Aug. 4, at a business in the 3700 block of Willow Road. The arrest followed an investigation into an incident reported at a business in the 0-10 block of Waukegan Road. He was taken to the Skokie Courthouse for a bond hearing.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

Isaac Rayes, 48, of the 2700 block of Harrison Street, Glenview, is accused of domestic battery, and was arrested at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 1, at the Cook County Courthouse, 5600 Old Orchard Road. The arrest following the investigation of an incident reported on Aug. 17 in the 1600 block of Milwaukee Avenue. He was released on bond.

NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

A Chicago resident was cited at 11:08 a.m. Aug. 1, for no valid driver's license, failure to reduced speed to avoid an accident, following the investigation of a traffic crash at Tower Drive and Aviator Lane.

TRESPASSING

An employee of a business in the 4500 block of West Lake Avenue reported at 3:07 p.m. Aug. 1, a guest caused a disturbance in the parking lot.

FORGERY

A Woodmere Lane resident reported at 11:44 a.m. Aug. 2, a check they mailed through the USPS was intercepted in the mail and cashed to a different person for a different amount.

DISTURBANCE

An employee of a business in the 500 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 7:53 a.m. Aug. 3, a customer yelled in the store, causing a disturbance.

BURGLARY FROM MOTOR VEHICLE

A Chicago resident called police to report that during the overnight hours of Aug. 2, the catalytic converter was stolen from under their vehicle while it was parked in a parking lot in the 1300 block of Glenview Road.

UNWANTED SUBJECT

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

A resident in the 4100 block of Cove Lane called police to report that between Aug. 2 and Aug. 3, someone entered their parked vehicle and stole personal property.

A Lincolnwood resident reported at 11:14 a.m. Aug. 5, someone removed a lock from a locker at a business in the 3800 block of Willow Road and stole cash from a wallet.
